Unfortunately, this hard drive did not live up to expectations when used as the main hard drive in a Toshiba Satellite R630-140 work laptop. When working in an external USB 3.0 container, this drive behaves decently, providing an operating temperature of 26 to 34 degrees C. but after copying (transferring) the contents of the predecessor WDC WD10JPVT to it and installing it in the R630-140 laptop case, the temperature on the ST2022LM015 drive is in working order quickly increased to 46 degrees (with a limit value of 47 degrees). And accordingly, the HDDLife Notebook program immediately showed a sharp decrease in "health" and "performance" from 90% to 30% and issued a recommendation for an urgent replacement of the hard drive. And there were enough ST2022LM015 resources inside the laptop for a couple of days. The situation changed for the better after low-level formatting of the ST2022LM015 disk. With a hard drive temperature of 30 degrees C (connected by an additional drive inside the desktop case), the number of positioning errors was reduced and, accordingly, the "health" and "performance" indicators increased to an acceptable value of 41%. Moreover, this value - 41% - is determined by the lowest of the Smart indicators (No. 7) of this disk - "positioning errors". And after repeated low-level formatting, this indicator improved (increased) to 43%.
