Won't scratch the bottom of the pot

I bought an egg custard stirrer for a 6.5 inch pot. Since it's milk based, I have to scrape the bottom of the pot. This device cannot do that. .Good: - The device mounts easily - The clamp is metal and fairly sturdy Less Good: - It doesn't scratch or even touch the bottom of the pan The weight of the handle is designed to push the bottom of the stick out until it stops against the wall pot. However, the inner part of the pot walls don't meet the bottom of the pot at a sharp right angle - they bend into it. This causes the stick to rise. from the bottom of the pot to the level of the curvature, preventing it from touching the bottom. Therefore no scratching. This is shown in the first photo. The second photo shows how it should lay flat (but not t) - The stick is light, it has no rubber scraper, just plastic. See photos 3rd and 4. - Since the stirrer is so flimsy and the R evolution is so slow, I doubt it can stir even the thinnest non-milk based liquid. Didn't use it with liquid before sending it back. - In a small/shallow pot, you must attach the stick's fin to the stick's shaft, otherwise it will bang against the clip with every rotation.
