Review on 🤖 Motorized Assistant - YoLink Controller with Extended Reach by Adam Quintana

I have been corresponding with YoLink for several months waiting for this product which was installed and fully met my expectations for an innovative home automation product. a big fan of YoLink products and have purchased at least one, and often many, iterations of their products. (I have no affiliation with the company and this is an independent review.) I'll admit to being somewhat obsessed with gadgets and home automation. Thanks to YouLink, I've automated almost every household chore that can be automated. I use their leak detectors, temperature and humidity sensors, appliance controls and locks. I love YoLink products for the same reason I'm a fan of Apple devices: everything works flawlessly; Devices are easy to install. And they work with Alexa Revain for voice control. Also, the devices have a long range (YoLink claims up to a quarter of a mile). I can't say that my devices are that sophisticated, but I had this electronic valve installed underground, near our water meter, about 100 meters away. ' from the hub and it works great. I can turn the water on and off using the YoLink app. I could also pair this device with all 15 YoLink leak detectors in our house so that the main water valve automatically closes when a leak is detected in the water source. I didn't feel the need to adjust this feature as YoLink's leak detectors are so sensitive that a few drops of water will automatically shut off the water supply to our home. I'm just glad I have a system that will detect a leak and then give me a chance to investigate before turning off the water supply. If I'm not there, I still get a leak warning and can close the valve anywhere there is an internet connection. Our home was built in 1976, so our insurance cannot fully cover water damage from burst water pipes and utility lines. That's why I always manually turned off the water supply to our house when we were traveling. With this device, you can easily turn off the water supply with the push of a button in the YoLink app and turn it back on when you arrive. I bet I could even use IFTT technology to automatically turn the water off when we leave our house and then turn it back on when we arrive. I haven't tried yet. As for the installation, if I wasn't 77 and had a knee replacement I could easily have installed it myself, but I decided to call my plumber who charged $200 to install the unit in the irrigation system. / Water meter submersible box, which is around $30 at Revain.
