I admit that this was an additional purchase. This product is simply a blank wall plate with two holes drilled in it and then a coax splitter held in place with simple metal nuts. You can make it yourself using the following parts: 1) Blank wall plate 2) Coax splitter 3) Drill bit 4) Two nuts to attach the coax splitter to the wall plate. At the same time, in this case, it was easier and faster to pay someone to do it. If I had the time and inclination to do it again I would probably do it myself and save money being paid to someone else. Splinters in the wall instead of adding clutter behind the TV. So this product reduces the number of cables outside your wall from two to three. By the way, if you are not satisfied with the quality of the splitter, you can easily exchange the built-in splitter for another of your choice (provided you check the hole spacing beforehand).
