Review on Yoshihiro Hammered Damascus Stainless Utility by Amber Chavez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great knife in the kitchen and dining room

Very nice knife and looks very cool. It has a Western handle rather than a Japanese one, which is something I like about a knife this small. It comes out pretty sharp, not as sharp as my Mayabi Shun Mcusta or Yaxells, but after about 10 minutes and using a couple of Yoshihiro sharpeners I've leveled it with my higher quality knives. I use this knife a lot because it's my only small pair of knives, my other 5 inch knives, it cuts the easiest because I have it so sharp, but because it's so small and light it has to be sharp to to work well, so I have to hold onto this knife more than my others. The blade is made of high quality steel and is quite hard so it has a very sharp edge and after I sharpened it cuts through paper very easily and I like the hammered damascus look that the blade has. Overall a quality knife, a good buy and a good price.
