Review on πŸ–¨οΈ ESUN Opaque 1 75mm Filament Printer by Danny Lavimodiere

It takes time to master and understand this thread, but once you switch to PETG you won't go back.

The first experience was disappointing to say the least. It takes time to master and understand this thread. First of all, you need to understand that this thread needs to be printed really HOT. You need to rise to at least 245 degrees for it to flow and stick to the previous layers. Heat is needed not only to melt the thread, but also to melt the previous layer again. The filament itself is not as sticky as PLA when melted. So if the previous layer doesn't melt during layering, it won't stick. The bed needs to be heated to around 100 degrees in order for it to stick to it during initial installation. It sticks very well, so you'll need a removal trowel like this one: 3D Printing Removal Tool It won't be easy to work with at first until you get the hang of the material, but once you get the hang of it, it will quickly become yours Materials of your choice. It's much stronger than PLA, won't warp or shrink, and is FDA compliant, so non-toxic and safe for food containers. I also found great hard part settings (100% fill). Settings tested for excellent finish: 100% object fill (solid part) Temperature 250 Layer temperature 110 Feed speed 41 mm/s Feed speed 51 mm/s

Pros
  • 1kg net (approx. 2.2lb) of line on a transparent spool
Cons
