I bought it to weigh horse feed. I did not want to take a digital one, which can spoil in severe frost and / or heat. The only problem I've had so far is that I'm an idiot reading kg instead of pounds. Figures in kg are written in red above, slightly larger and more common than pounds. I never use kg and I live in the US so I just assumed pounds would matter more than anything. Although it's my fault. haha Also, I can weigh my food and so far it has been accurate. The "tare" on it allows me to zero the bucket I use. Yes, the hooks are big, but it's nothing a vise or additional favorite hardware can't fix. Hooks are great for what I do.
