I really wanted to like these needles. And I did. They are beautiful, smooth and light. But as mentioned, they have quality control issues. If I got a perfect set I would probably give them a 5. But just as my excitement peaked - unwrapping my new package, collecting the cords and just inspecting the needles - the cord snapped. Serious. I haven't even gotten into knitting yet! I had just tightened the cord onto a size 6 needle and was reaching over to grab the tension wrench when the cord broke free from the metal connector with a slight pop. That's all. $85 and one of the four cables broke within 8 minutes of opening the Revain box. I am beyond disappointed, especially knowing that these needles are so light and beautiful. In desperation, I'm returning the whole set (thanks, Revain's phenomenal return policy!) and replacing it with the Trendz set. Cheap acrylic needles that are under $30 and don't have nickel plated ends so I don't have to worry about allergies. The cords will probably stay the same cheap quality, but with the money I've saved on needles I can afford to replace the cords.
