Well I didn't really believe it when I bought this item, but it turns out it's actually pretty cool. Perfect example: I was cooking garlic and shrimp in my aluminum pan one night and the leftover garlic was very sticky and cooked through. I tried using my sponge with a dirty back and it didn't come off. Then I reached under the sink and grabbed a rag, which came out with some grease and warm water. I really like this item and the fact that it comes with two is even better because they don't take long to replace. The best part is you can just toss it in your laundry and it will be clean! Won't linger odors or get slimy even after you've rubbed off greasy, rough stuff. To sanitize between washes, I just spray with an alcohol solution that I keep on the counter.
