Update October 8, 2021: Took about 1.5 years before heater wire failed. It was a production weakness. The item was clean with no dirt or stains from anything that was placed in the oven, no automatic cleaning cycles and no external signs of damage other than a small dark spot where the internal damage was. It was a fairly small stain that I didn't notice until I folded the item to get rid of it. The outer metal crumbled and what appeared to be ash fell out. One star deducted for malfunction. Still worked well enough, at such a low price, that I was willing to buy another one to save myself from looking for an alternative. The lazy wins. April 2020: The blades are soldered directly onto the element core and not crimped onto the intervening copper wire. I only mention this because the last one I ordered was odd in that the terminals were crimped onto stranded high temp insulated copper wire (which it appeared to be) that went into the cell tube. This is the only one I've come across that didn't have spade terminals soldered to a solid core, solid metal shell heating element. This item appears to be fairly standard 3rd party quality, no obvious functional differences from the OEM part.
