I bought this item so I don't have to use a knife to make lemon wedges or potato wedges. In a jiffy you have to grab that lemon or potato and you get six good slices! The only thing I've noticed is that if you don't align the blades and base properly, small bits of the base will be cut off the edge and they could end up in your food if you're not careful. Another disadvantage is that cutting the soil creates a hole that allows water to collect in the soil when scraping. I still love the product. I just have to be careful to shake off excess water from the foundation after washing. Hope that helps. Thank you for reading!
