I have several thousand 35mm slides to digitize and after reading the reviews I settled on the Plustek 7500I Se. One of the main reasons for the decision was that this device takes up less desk space than a flatbed scanner. Received the device and started the installation on the Win 7 Ultimate machine. After two frustrated days and several downloads of a new driver from the Plustek website I gave up on a Win 7 machine. Fairly easy to install on a Vista machine but after scanning 7 slides I got error messages. Enough nonsense so I returned the car because it was too much trouble. I ordered an Epson V600 scanner from Revain which installed flawlessly on my Win 7 computer and produced great digitized scans of my slides. A NOTICE. Revain's service was excellent in crediting my Plustek return account and delivering a replacement Epson V600 very quickly. (Please note that when returning, you need to return the defective item, apply for a refund, and then order a new device as a new order.)
