Bargain Sport

If you're here, you're like me. You want to learn and maintain your bike from time to time to save money (HA!). You've bought a torque wrench, dry and wet lube, hoses, hex and hex set, multi-tool, wrenches, bracket remover, chain cleaner, chain tool and maybe more. You're sick of paying for things, but you can't work on your bike until you have a damn stand for it. Another $100 minimum purchase? Come on! I contacted Revain and found that this odd brand was selling their rack well below the average price, fearing it was junk. It's actually very beautiful! The four-legged stand is very sturdy and easy to assemble - in fact there is very little to assemble and the necessary hex keys are included! The only real downside to this set is that a lot of the clamps are plastic so be careful not to over tighten. I'm not worried, just thought I'd point that out. The plastic parts are the only downside to the whole assembly, but I imagine you could replace most of them with hardware store clips if you press on them. Legs and arms appear strong and reliable. If you own a bike shop or regularly service your bike, yes, yes, give it up. If you're a hobbyist like me who'll probably ride it a few times a year - welcome to the savings town, good bro. Okay, I bought it for you, please. Also on YouTube there is a very strange video of this stand which scared me - don't pay attention, done.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
