After dressing up in high tops to basketball, I wanted a pair of low tops that I could wear with shorts in the summer without looking like a total jerk. These are probably my favorite shoes (considering I'm a guy). They're comfortable, and since they're tarpaulin, my feet don't get hot in them. I haven't had any problems with their cooling either. I would say that the biggest plus of high-top sneakers is the ease of putting them on. You don't have to unlace half of the boot to get your foot in. The only disappointment I have is that the shoes on Amazon aren't any cheaper than the retail stores near me.
