Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Enhanced Timken HA590315 Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly for Optimal Performance by Lance Story

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Out of service after 1 year, 3rd year in a row

As of Fall 2016 I purchased 2 new Timken front hub/bearing assemblies to replace the failed factory assemblies (after 7 years). old and 120,000 miles) and put them on my Forester hoping they would last a while. And 11 months later, one of them failed badly, and the other began to deteriorate. So I replaced both of them with identical new Timken jacks, thinking I might just have a bad batch. They lasted about a year, and then both expired at about the same time. I have again replaced both bushings with the same ones here at Revain and the first one failed last month. I'm completely done with Timken. I had a similar experience with Timken bushings on my Subaru Legacy a few years ago. I just don't think they will last more than a year so I bought another brand here at Revain and will see how they hold up. The good news is I'm really good at changing hubs as I've done it 9 times on my Subarus in the last 6 years (usually front but a few times rear). I usually combine them with other works at the same time, such as B. a brake disc/pad change and the inevitable biennial replacement of a stuck brake caliper.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Modern
