Review on Dektite Premium #7 Red Silicone Metal Roof Pipe Flashing, High Temperature Resistance, Square Base, Pipe Outer Diameter from 6 Inches to 12 Inches by Ryan Thrasher

Last weekend we installed a wood stove in our container. We needed protection from the rain as the roofs of the shipping containers are not pitched to prevent rain from running off. We use a three wall DuraVent chimney and a DuraVent ceiling box inside. We cut a 10" diameter hole, put the chimney in place, and then machined the roof shoe. This DekTite shoe is amazing. I used LocTite caulk around the chimney/hole and then silicone caulk under the rim. Drill screws into the roof of the container to give the trunk the contours of our roof. I then used another bead of silicone to seal the edge of the rim. Luckily the cover was in place yesterday as it rained last night. Good product!
