Very happy roof

I bought two of these to seal both of my chimneys after installing a new metal roof. The base fits very well with the ribs of the metal roof and has grooves for screws. The gradation on the rubber is clearly visible and it is easy to cut. I used caulk to seal the underside where it meets the roof, but I'm not sure if that was necessary. The rubber is very tight on the tube. I have no problems with leaks. Good product,

I hope they fix the problem.

I have a metal roof and didn't realize the surrounds were misaligned until I had to replace the canopy. I found that 4 of my salaries had water leaking under the metal. I found these silicone pads from Revain. They're not difficult to install, just need a little planning. They fit snugly, something you want to avoid leaking. Used silicone around the edges and screws spaced about 3 inches apart. I'm sure my problem is solved.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • No Instructions

Does what it should.

It arrived on time, was easily cut to fit the chimney and matched the roof moldings as stated. DACH should be. We almost got in trouble because our furnace installers told us we needed a much larger hole than the pipe AFTER we bought it. Luckily it was big enough to close the hole. If I had known the hole in the roof was that big I would have gone up the size.

Great suggestions. Just make sure you measure well.

I bought this for a 6 inch triple wall pipe. I figured a 6" pipe would be 5" to 9" so I was fine. Well, the triple wall is 10 inches in diameter. Even though my whistle was an inch too big, I was still able to trim it and get it working. The base adhered well to my metal roof and after caulking and bolting became a permanent part of the roof. I've had a rain and snow doesn't flow on it at all, the silicone fits the tube and leaves no gaps. I am very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • hard to say

Good product! suitable for canopy

Last weekend we installed a wood stove in our container. We needed protection from the rain as the roofs of the shipping containers are not pitched to prevent rain from running off. We use a three wall DuraVent chimney and a DuraVent ceiling box inside. We cut a 10" diameter hole, put the chimney in place, and then machined the roof shoe. This DekTite shoe is amazing. I used LocTite caulk around the chimney/hole and then silicone caulk under the rim. Drill screws into the roof of the container…

Pros
  • great for me
Cons
  • some disadvantages
