Review on Dorman Ambient Air Temperature Sensor 902-020 for BMW Models – Enhanced SEO by Dustin Woodrow

It does the job. fits parts

I have a 2004 E46 and the air temp sensor was damaged when it detached from the driver's lower front fender and started scratching the wheel. If you damage this sensor, there are two main consequences: 1. A temperature change from -40 to 122 degrees (-40 to 50 degrees Celsius)2 is displayed on the instrument panel. If your reading is -40 degrees your air conditioning will stop working because the car "feels" that you don't need the air conditioning anyway because it's so cold outside. This is a plug/unplug task. The sensor is located under the driver's front fender. After replacement, issues 1 and 2 above will be resolved. Good product, there may be a few degrees difference, but for $30, it's liveable.
