I don't know if I should clap Dorman or myself. I bought this for my 2000 Jetta VR6 which was recently leaked. The culprit was a gasket between this case and the engine. I dismantled everything needed for this service, which is a lot of work, and replaced the old with the new. Gather everything back up, fill the tank and check all under-hood components for correct reassembly. I have her. Coolant began to flow out of the body and all over the garage floor. WTF?! I thought. What have I missed? When I took it all apart again, I found a new problem: Dorman didn't screw in the thermostat housing at the water outlet. They didn't even try. It could have been finger tight by a three year old. but then again, it may just be my fault for not checking first.
