not enough detail in description

I have a 08'R32 VW 3.2 Badass Ride. I ordered this part [in stock] prior to installation. Amazon said "This fits your car" [doesn't] the larger hose fitting was at the wrong angle. Wait, are they going straight or at an angle!? The description was incomprehensible.

To do this you need to use a part from the old body

I have a 2007 Audi A3 3.2L Quattro. Everything is fine with this replacement, except for one important detail. The base, which unscrews from the rest of the case to reveal the thermostat, prevents the case from being seated correctly on the cylinder block. The angle of this lower inlet is too small and touches other components in the engine compartment. I had to remove the base from the old case and attach it to the new case. Tighten screws!

I don't know if I should clap Dorman or myself. I bought this for my 2000 Jetta VR6 which was recently leaked. The culprit was a gasket between this case and the engine. I dismantled everything needed for this service, which is a lot of work, and replaced the old with the new. Gather everything back up, fill the tank and check all under-hood components for correct reassembly. I have her. Coolant began to flow out of the body and all over the garage floor. WTF?! I thought. What have I missed…
