They work really well for my dog

We tried all of the sticky paw pads for my aging dog with arthritis whose feet slide and splay on the tile floor. Those with great glue didn't have enough rubber to keep their feet from rocking, and those with enough rubber couldn't stay on their feet for more than a day. I couldn't even imagine him letting me apply glue and then sticking his foot in a bowl of pellets - he thinks I'll kill him every time I touch his feet. So I tried them. He's a 30lb healer mix so I bought the medium ones. The socks are long enough to go over the knee (back legs) and the velcro strap keeps them in place very well. They don't bother him at all - he doesn't gnaw or pluck them. I love that the rubber feet have printing on the top and bottom, so it doesn't matter which way they go, and when he zooms out they rotate a bit. I wish they had a little more rubber because if they stop where the rubber is on the sides it will really slip and slide. But it only takes a minute to reach them and turn them one way or the other and he realized I didn't kill him when I did. Initially we wore them on all four paws but when his hind legs are stable in socks his front paws don't slip so two works fine for him and I can wash the other two. They put the laundry in a laundry bag and I let them air dry. I am very happy with it. I learned the hard way that if his nails were too long they would go through the fabric on his toes. This had the benefit of preventing twisting, although this could reduce their lifespan. I'll try to get them to extend it.
