We got this bike for our son's 4th birthday. He has been using a balance bike for a long time and his balance has improved a lot. We hoped he could use a regular bike soon and we could skip the training wheels. Unfortunately it's still too small to hold up really well on this bike, but by spring it should be the perfect size. My husband assembled the bike and while he didn't have much of a problem with it, he said the instructions that came with it weren't very good. The bike was well packed, all parts were in stock. We also like the look of the bike as we were looking for a simpler design rather than a themed bike but still reasonably priced. I wish the bike was a little lighter as it's quite heavy for a little 4 year old. A handbrake would also be a good option. Overall we are happy with the purchase and hope he will learn to ride it soon.
