First you should upgrade your stock radiator to a larger aftermarket radiator to make this product really worth the noticeable difference. Simply replacing this Mishimoto thermostat will only increase the maximum temperature range. This thermostat will only make your engine cool down faster, but it will not cool down faster or cool down the engine. You will need to replace the stock heatsink with a much larger one for the cooler to work. Where I live May through October temperatures are around 98°F101°F and humidity averages over 70%. Overall the product works great, fits like a glove, installation on a Subaru FA20 engine could be easier but well worth it. Combined with a large radiator, my car now averages 179°F 186°F (was 199°F 204°F) and stays under 220°F even when towing $$! Love it!
