Review on ๐Ÿš— Enhanced Air Suspension Kit - Air Lift 1000 (Model 60815) by William Nunes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The instructions are not very good, not accurate

I am installing it on a 2008 Honda Pilot. At first they sent the wrong ones, but a day later they sent a replacement. The instructions state that you may need to loosen the bolt from the shock to remove the spring. That's totally wrong. You must remove at least one end of the stabilizer linkage so that the lower coil spring arm is lowered far enough to remove the spring. Of course, on a car that is more than 10 years old, removing even one end of the anti-roll bar is a big problem. I will probably have to replace the passenger side link after I cut it out as the nuts have frozen. Penetrating oil seems incomparable with rust and dirt on threads. I hope these things work because the installation is a lot harder than I thought. Update - I finished the install and had to cut out one of the stabilizer links, after which I bought a new one from Advanced Auto for about $20. I'm towing a boat that has a nose weight of 300 pounds, the maximum the pilot is rated for. He perches on the car 1 and 3/8 inches. The air lift system, when using a maximum pressure of 35psi, corrects the squat by 1 and 1/8 inches, i.e. within 1/4 inch of the normal ride height. It's disappointing that it can't return it to its original ride height.

Pros

Cons
