You pay for quality and it lasts. Made in Germany means that they have been developed through and through. They are lightweight and don't press on the inside of the arm like channel locks. And they can even handle kicks. A quick release buckle keeps the size in place. Ergonomic tee-off design. The only reason I'm repurchasing them is because my old set was taken out of my tool bag at the job site. They didn't bother to take anything else in my bag from my $400 tools, just my two pair of Knipex pliers. My first set was bought in 2010-2017 and stolen from my bag. They looked as new as the day I received them. Take care of your tools and they will take care of you. Knipex may be expensive, but it will last a lifetime.
