I bought this for use with a stationary bike as it's obviously hard to tell how 'far' I'm going so is my main concern is the time and the odometer. not speed, calories burned or whatever. Since I'm using it with a trainer, I have the sensor on the rear wheel, not the front wheel. The cable isn't long enough to get to the handlebars but long enough to put it on the top tube where I can look down and see it (I wouldn't recommend this if you're using it outside on the bike, but I'm not very afraid of traffic jams in my living room). I especially like that the timer stops when the wheel stops. So if I get interrupted I can go back to him and still ride all my time. This is a Japanese product, the packaging and instructions are in Japanese but additional instructions translated into English were supplied. It comes with zip ties and double-sided foam tape to securely attach the device to the bike. I've only used zip ties and it seems perfectly safe, but I'd probably also use duct tape if using it outdoors. The device itself is detachable from a clip that attaches to the bike, which would be nice if you're riding on the road and want to avoid theft. Overall I am very happy with the product, especially considering the price.
