The adapter itself works and I've mostly gotten it to work with one of my OBD II readers. Problem with codes. All OBD-I systems were made specific (one of the things that drove the legislature crazy). An identical trouble code on a Ford can be completely different on a GM. All OBD II systems have universal codes so now they all mean the same thing which is the problem with this adapter. Your OBD II reader will assume this is one of the new generic codes. It is best to just buy an OBD I scanner for your car.
