Replaced my old 1980 Eaz lift unit with this for my boat trailer. After "changes" I thought this model was great. The new model has a different design for the "Quick Hook-Up" (the hinged part that attaches to the trailer tongue) which has poor adjustment range and is different from my model. Vintage' one. I chose the old one. The "wire clip" used to secure the "Quick Hook-Up" is not intended for regular use. Replaced with coupling pins from the hardware store. The large 3/8 chain links are bulky and allow little fine tuning. I replaced the chain with a 5/16 zinc plated high strength chain. The ball bearing platform is a different design and requires quick connections that have to be moved on the trailer tongue. Designed to accept a 1-1/4" shafted hitch with an adapter sleeve to accept a 1" hitch. A length of 3/4" will do.
