Ideal for hams, but not for GMRS

Rating changed due to errors in the original test. Excellent antenna. I did a frequency sweep and gain test. VHF SWR is less than 1.5 from 144MHz to 148MHz and UHF SWR is less than 1.5 from 420MHz to 460. Gain is 3.5dBd (5.6dBi) VHF and 6dBd (8, 1dBi) UHF. GMRS performance was poor. But it is not sold as a GMRS antenna. If you want a good performer that includes GMRS I would suggest one of these: 1 Installed on a mirror mount: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EXIFYCI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This provides similar performance on amateur bands but also has good gain on GMRS frequencies.
