I was impressed at the construction when first arrived. However I'm quite disappointed now. I thought this toy would last for some time but it's been only One week and our 6 month old pointer/lab mix has successfully chewed through/eaten 1/2 the tail, shredding it, pulled out the stuffing and now has gotten to the squeaker (blue bubble), not to mention chewing apart the jagged material "scales" on its back. It's going to have to be thrown away soon as I do not want her to keep ingesting the shredded material/threading. I don't know if it's that she's s puppy or a bigger/stronger breed, but she went through this toy too quickly. Next time I'll have to do a bit more research to see what toys actually will hold up.
