GO NO FURTHER! no durability

I am in the heavy diesel business and bought 2 of these for workshop use. They hold up quite well for the first year, but then the wheels start to slip out of use. This happened to one first so I figured it was user error. But even if you take care of the second, the wheels/insert on the second will also peel off. If you drain more than 10 liters of oil (typical larger diesel) you will find that the wheels flex outwards under the weight. I contacted Lincoln's engineering department to see if this was a known issue and to see if there was anything they could do for me and they pretty much told me that the warranty was expired and that every set of reels/equipment cost about $20. There are 4 such rollers on the drain pan. That would be $80 plus shipping for a $420 drain pan that didn't even last a year. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone making a living off diesel. Doesn't stand up to the daily oil change!

Pros
  • oil drain
Cons
  • upgrade availability
