I bought this with the Riptide 55 SP. The device consists of two parts: a bracket for the engine and a bracket for the boat. Mounting the motor to the bracket was very easy. I did not enjoy installing the bracket on the bow of my boat. The template they give you is useful and works well. My problem was getting access to the underside of the bolts to secure the nuts. Make sure you plan this before attempting it. I had to use all my Inspector Gadget powers to make this happen. It took too many hours, but that's not the fault of the quick-release mount. Btw it works great, holds the motor in place and takes about 5 seconds to remove. You can also put a padlock to secure it if you want to get away with the boat. I agree with some other people that you should consider going to Home Depot and getting other stainless steel locknuts.
