These bowls came stacked every 4 inside each other and I knew I was in trouble. There is nothing wrong with stacking them on top of each other (no crossbars below). This way they slide out easily, but you must have room to slide them forward and then back. After 2 times they slipped and the top tray fell into the bottom one AND WATER SPILLED EVERYWHERE I was done. Don't buy this. It's so much work when all the other ice trays won't let them nest inside each other. TO UPDATE. A month later you develop a crack that cannot be filled. Now one is completely broken on the first hack attempt (see picture). Too bad I needed ice cream. Terrible!
