Don't buy this you will only hate yourself for it

I have been using Cisco products at work and at home since 1999, Meraki myself for 4 years. Saw Meraki-Go and thought ok give it a try, it's cheaper and more affordable compared to Ubiquiti (2021 is currently short on Covid chips). Configuration is simplified to a mobile app with few configuration items. It's great if life were that easy, but with the default configurations, it can't even forward traffic to its own Meraki Go 24-port PoE switch on VLAN 1, Trunk. I had to dig through my tricks to get it working with the limited configuration options on the mobile app. It's supposed to be plug and play, but not even close. Bandwidth is capped at an anemic 250Mbps, and I didn't even pay for the firewall filter option (the service isn't available at the time of writing). This only happens if you enable it. The 6 year old router it replaced worked better than this one. After all, this isn't Meraki-go's fault, but if you have spectrum, they'll clip your bandwidth if they see a Cisco router on their network. Tested with 3 of my neighbors, all with 400Mbps service, drops to 23Mbps max, 8Mbps average. Place it behind a non-Cisco router and it will revert to the device's maximum throughput. I gave up after 4 weeks and got this junk back but kept the 24 port switch and APs. The switch works fine on the Asus router I replaced it with. No special VLAN configurations required, reset everything to factory VLAN1, trunk

Pros

Cons
  • For old
