Disgusting design! fits master cylinder and parts

I bought this to remove the crest from my original 1937 Hudson 6 cylinder engine. After learning how to use it and getting recommendations from a close friend who is an SAE Master Mechanic, this article has arrived. However, I quickly found that the design was fatally flawed and if used as intended would shear off the taper in the cylinder and DESTROY the rare 82 year old engine! The ring is new, I decided to change the block. I cut off 90% of the plastic lining at the bottom of the cutting blade. See photos. This was the only way to minimize the taper intended for this burr reamer. Tapering occurs at the top of the cylinder and is not the desired result, especially if you plan to use a ball hone and reface rings on existing pistons. If someone takes an engine block to a machine shop, it's best to skip it and let them do it.

Pros
  • Country of origin: China
Cons
  • Big and bulky
