Rated to 35F and freezes well on a road bike. On my fat bike where there isn't much wind at low speed they are good up to 20F. I tried it at 8F with -2F wind and my thumbs went numb. The fingers are much warmer than the thumb because the soft shell doesn't extend over the thumb, hence a star deduction. Still good gloves for riding into the frost, in some cases even deeper. The padding was initially painful but after a few rides it broke and feels good.
