Warm and windproof for camping

Received these gloves in January 2018. The size is big. Riding 3 days a week in dry weather 40 to 50F, 45 to 50 miles per ride, about 4 1/2 hours on the road. They are warm and windproof throughout the journey. Above 50F hands start to sweat. After putting them on, I pull each finger of the glove down so my fingertips touch the fingertip of the glove. This gives me a better feel for the brake and shift levers. Very good winter gloves.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Low repairability

Perfect. Warm and cozy.

Fits as expected and very comfortable for winter. I would recommend using them down to a minimum temperature of 5ºC. Below my fingertips start to hurt and I have to get lobster (I had to drive to work at night with temperatures up to 2 and 0C, there was no loss of wind at all, but it was too cold for gloves to keep my hands warm inside, and I had to move my fingers a lot while riding to keep blood flow and relieve some pain).

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Nothing

Rated to 35F and freezes well on a road bike

Rated to 35F and freezes well on a road bike. On my fat bike where there isn't much wind at low speed they are good up to 20F. I tried it at 8F with -2F wind and my thumbs went numb. The fingers are much warmer than the thumb because the soft shell doesn't extend over the thumb, hence a star deduction. Still good gloves for riding into the frost, in some cases even deeper. The padding was initially painful but after a few rides it broke and feels good.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Easily wrinkled

Great riding gloves with a few key flaws

Generally excellent gloves. They are nice and warm, but not completely protected from the rain. The thumbs in particular let a lot of water through. They're thick enough that you lose a bit of dexterity once they're on, and they're not very easy to take off and put back on while you're moving. They also tend to be a bit warm on most rainy or just cold days. I think they would be ideal in snow to snow mixed with rain conditions at 20 to 35 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Negative impression

Top quality, very comfortable, very warm.

Izumi have released some questionable pieces over the last few years but thankfully these are the good quality gloves I've always come to expect from them. They are great - really well made, very warm, true to size and durable. I'm a year round cyclist and use them when it's 20-40*F outside. Anything colder and I'm wearing penguin/spock gloves, anything warmer will make your hands sweaty. Right next to Frost is the most beautiful spot, great for road and trail. 5 Stars.

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Niche gloves suitable for outerwear

Good niche gloves if you want something more but don't travel to the arctic expanses. I wear them until I'm 30 and they fit great. In fact, I cheated a bit and put half of one of those chemical heaters (yes, I cut one in half and taped it over) inside each glove. So I think they will freeze. Until then, I'll move on to the big lobster claws. Wind and water protection and plenty of padding where needed. Stubborn also with shifters and brakes. The cuff is long enough to fit under the jacket…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Some cons

Excellent gloves. Definitely recommend them.

Definitely warm gloves for my bike rides on cold Californian mornings like in the 30's. My fingers were cold working with the same gloves I was wearing. I also appreciate that they are very bright colors so I can be seen much better at some parts of my trip where it's almost dark. The iZUMI size chart was hard to read, so I guessed a pair of different iZUMI gloves I had seen at a bike shop. They were very big and fit me. These for cold weather are very large, but too large. I can live with it…

  • practical item

  • Zero

Very good design but I need a bit more warmth

I'm skinny and my fingers get terribly cold when cycling, even at 40 years old. A while back I realized that the only way to keep my fingers from getting to that painful point is to aggressively ride to the point where my heart is sweating. When my core isn't sweating and the temperature is below 40 degrees when I'm not wearing heated gloves, then my fingers kill all joy. So the "only ride in winter when you can ride aggressively” strategy works with these gloves up to a point, mostly until the

Pros
