Review on πŸ”Š Facmogu TDA7498E Stereo Audio Amplifier with Power Supply DC 24V 6A - 160W x 160W Dual Channel Hi-Fi Amplifier, Mini Class D Integrated Digital Amp for Car Audio and Home Speakers (Amplifier+Adapter) by Jamie Simpson

Surprisingly good for receiver and amplifier

I wanted to convert some of my old giant loudspeakers (Mirage M3Si @6ohms) that lay idle in the garage for a long time into loudspeakers for my electronic drum kit. Using a large preamp and amp to drive the speakers was impractical. So I decided to give this little box a try. I am very happy with the results. I don't turn the volume up high enough to notice distortion. I run about 25% on the dial and that's enough to fill a 20 x 25 foot room with more volume than my family can handle. The data sheet for the TDA7498e chip states that it offers maximum performance with the lowest distortion at 36V. The power supply supplied with this product is 24V with a maximum current of 6A. If you really want to turn the dial up to "11" you will probably need a 36V power supply with a maximum current of 8-10A. All in all, not a bad deal for $70.

Pros
  • πŸ”ŠEASY TO CONNECT - Ideal for your desk or small spaces in your home or office, the digital amplifier easily connects to your audio system without installing software or changing settings.
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
