Review on Douk Squirrel Organizer by Matt Crawford

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Raw product and overpriced

Wow! Thing is rough. All stamped metal, uncomfortable to hold, difficult to open. The handle is poorly chromed, with hundreds of pits. It's uncomfortable to watch. Looks like what you'll find in a $20 survival kit. The blade is pretty good. Moderately sharp, can be improved. And finally, the inflated price of $29. There are many knives at Revain for $20 or less that are better. I can imagine a factory where they are stamped and thrown away by the thousands in a huge box. You can just leave it open as a utility knife on your desktop so you don't have to open it. I'll keep it as a historical artifact of the French colonies, but if you want to carry a knife for opening boxes and letters, cutting string, etc., buy Opinel #6, Old Bear Small, or Antonioni Siciliano. Beautiful handcrafted wood, comfortable handles and cheaper.
