Review on Etekcity 1022 Refrigerator Thermometer - Optimal Temperature Monitoring for Fridges by Hesham Peltier

Etekcity Lasergrip

Lasergrip Etekcity IR thermometer range (1022D, 800 and 630) vs Klein IR1000 The IR thermometer has many uses. I bought this as a homeowner to check hot/cold spots around my house. Also for measuring the temperature difference between HVAC supply/return valves. Will also use it when frying/smoking or cooking. My son and I love building PCs and the IR thermometer comes in handy, the more I played with it the more uses I found. I wanted a reasonably priced tool and it worked well for my use. Linear IR thermometer based on the best selling Revain Etekcity 774 (most rated best seller and very affordable $16.88). After researching other Etekcity models I found many different options offering different ranges, features and spot/range ratios up to 16:1 with 12:1 being the higher standard and what most pricier brands have . The spot/distance ratio for this class of IR instruments varies from 8:1 to 16:1. Etekcity model numbers do not indicate which models are more expensive. Very confusing model numbering, you might think that the model number 800 or 1022 would be higher than 630 or 774. This is not the case with Etekcity. Combine that with the lack of a direct comparison option on the Etekcity or Revain website. So I decided to narrow my options down to 3 and test/compare myself. I compared the Etekcity Lasergrips 1022D, 800 and 630 thermometers to each other and to the Klein IR1000. Using points near my home thermostat and at fixed intervals on specific points/surfaces. I would like to start by saying that Etekcity makes great products no matter what IR thermometer you choose. What was even more impressive was the customer service. I sent them a question through Revain and Etekcity replied the same day and offered to call me as I had many questions. I was able to immediately start a conversation with Etekcity's customer representatives and they were VERY helpful in explaining the advantages/differences of all their IR thermometers. Many high-end IR thermometers in this category cost well over $50 and have the same functions/features and quality as Etekcity products. Etekcity 1022D - $19.99, Blue is my first IR from Etekcity: I like the dual laser idea with adjustable emissivity. The price is unbeatable when compared to higher quality products with the same features. less harsh and a bit cheap. The grip also felt too short and less comfortable than others. This is the smallest Etekcity IR thermometer I've tested. The accuracy compared to the more expensive Klein IR1000 did not impress me, at times it differed by 4-5 degrees. I originally bought an Etekcity 1022 D for dual lasers and adjustable emissivity. However, compared to the Klein 1000, which I used as a baseline comparison, it seemed a long way off. Even pointing to the exact spot next to my thermostat, Klein was closer to reading my thermostat and nearby desktop thermometer. 1022D was wrong by 3-5 degrees, sometimes even more. .I liked the backlight, the dual lasers and the 1022D grip, but the inconsistency of the measurements even with the emissivity setting was a hurdle for me. Etekcity 800 Lasergrip - $25.98 Pistol, Yellow/Black Specifications: Single Laser Dot Spacing 16:1 Emissivity - FIXED at 0.95 Range: -58' - 1382', it has better long range accuracy with a 16:1 range ratio. The Etekcity 800 was a much nicer IR instrument that felt solid and was definitely more accurate, and also good in comparison with a tolerance of 0.5 to 2.0 degrees, which was different from Klein's thermostat and mine. It is a reliable tool with good performance. The build felt more solid, slightly larger than the 1022D, and seemed to put itself together better. Features a longer ergonomic handle. I like the 800's recording better than any Etekcity unit I've tested. The Model 800 is very reliable and delivers the desired performance. it showed a tolerance of +/- 0.5 to 2.0 degrees. It costs an additional $6.00 for better accuracy and build quality. *** Etekcity 630 Dual Lasergrip - $29.99 Etekcity Lasergrip 630 Dual Laser Non-Contact Digital Infrared Thermometer, gray and black at first Impression was like it was packaged in a nice sturdy cardboard box (unlike the plastic blister packs of others including Small I Can Say More time and thought went into the model 630 It felt sold right out of the box Of all 3 Etek infrared thermometers I've tested, the Etekcity 630 has the most features (menu/setting options) and is very accurate compared to all 3 The 16:1 spot to range ratio makes this a great precision tool for any homeowner It is high quality, has a good reliable grip and looks great with the black/grey colour. Experiment to find me the advantages/differences of all their IRs - thermometer model 630 is the highest quality IR thermometer Etekcity sells and it shows themselves in the specifications. Most features, options and in my tests are the most accurate (accuracy is negligible between 800 and 630, both are good with +/- 0.5 to 2.0 tolerance). Emissivity: ADJUSTABLE Range: -58'1076'Multifunctional menu options (Setting MAX/Min Temperature, AVG and Diff/TD). Aside from the laser, the 800 and 630 work the same way. The 1022D and 774 cost less than $20, but for more features and higher specs you can't go wrong with the Etekcity 800 or the feature-rich Etekcity 630 in my opinion. The price range for these products is very competitive and the Etekcity at $29.99 630 this is excellent value for money that will compete with small and maybe even the brands used by professionals. With Etekcity's customer service, I was very happy with my choice.
