Great for my 2010 Honda Civic LX-S. I change mine every 8-12 months when I'm servicing other things that should be. I'm sure there are people who do it themselves and go crazy when their check engine light comes on. I usually clean the MAF sensor when I change the filter, but not every time, and I don't get the check engine light. If your check engine light comes on when you change the air filter, simply disconnect the battery to get rid of the light on the dash. If it still does not go out, you will need to clean the mass air flow sensor with a stream of sensor cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Or just pay someone $20 to change your oil.
