Review on Klein Tools D2000-48 8-Inch Linemans Diagonal Cutting Pliers - Angled Head, High Leverage Design by Chris Peck

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Kline has always been good. And now they say their "insulated " pliers aren't insulated?

I've had Kline tools for decades. This is to replace a pair of lost cutting tools. I've noticed a new warning that says they are "non-insulated" and do not protect against electric shock. My guess is some fool tried to use them on a 10kV line and got roasted and then the Klein family sued. They appear to have the same rubber grips as my lost pair, which has never made me take a picture before. I haven't tested them yet, but I suspect rubber is still classified as an insulating material? Find out.

Pros
  • Curved head pliers for easy work in tight spots
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
