I have purchased several of these adapters for use with Buffalo DriveStation external hard drives and have been completely satisfied with their performance. With USB 3.0 I get a 3x higher data transfer speed. The upgrade to 3.0 was worth it. Installation went smoothly, even the power cord. No problem. It only took a few minutes to reinsert the card and cable and reattach the computer covers. The instructions are very clear and easy to use. The software is easy to install and requires no configuration. It just works. I highly recommend upgrading to USB 3.0 with Buffalo Tech hardware.
