Well, think again! I spent a lot of time looking for a solution how to seal a garage door. I wanted to maximize the cooling effect of an air conditioner that I personally installed in one of the walls of my garage. Originally I wanted to buy a metal chain with a new rubber seal. I could definitely see that the gaskets using the double sealing method were the best choice in terms of both insulating properties and durability. In the end I chose to just replace the seal as my track that was attached to the metal framed sectional door was different in design to any others offered here at Revain. There are many different brands with a corresponding price range that sell what appears to be the same product. I chose Bowsen which was rated in the upper range because all the reviews were pretty good. So I saw the options offered for T-channels of different widths. I took 5/16" because my metal rail had 9/16" slots. This turned out to be a problem that only E6000 glue could solve. My partner and I struggled to get the rubber sliding on the track, even with a watered down Dawn sprayer. Two hours later we thought we had it installed when my partner walked in and I had just finished making sure everything was secured when the entire one side unrolled from the track. I hit the ceiling and didn't come down for a long time. While there I thought of what I could use to hold it in place and my answer was sticky. I happened to have a new tube of e6000 and used about half of it, applied glue along the t channel and then glued it in place. I sealed it with tape to keep it from falling out again. The next day when it was light I went to check and make sure all the gaps between the concrete and the bottom of the door were sealed and found I could still see the light for about a foot and a half underneath the garage. door from inside. I went back to Revain.com to see what other gasket I could get for my door and ended up with another $38 piece of rubber that I taped to the bottom. So I was frustrated that I spent over $40 on this product and then turned around and had to spend another $40 to get the job done. Actually, it's not the manufacturer's fault my track width was a lot wider than they offer for exchange, and it's not their fault I had a pretty bumpy spot under the garage door that was a pretty decent gap but didn't show up . I think this product has 5 stars but I had to downgrade it to 4 because the description sounds so simple but it isn't!
