OK, I get the idea. If you use a lot of filament those spools wind up in the trash. Only so many can be used for Christmas lights and extension cords. But the spool I have is so-so. First of all, the filament and the spool - there's a 1" gap. That means that when the spool starts to get about half used you'll get tangles. Next, it had a bunch of dist and white particles. I use a filament cleaner to remove contaminants as the filament feeds, but without that these particles would definitely cause clogs.Buying just the filament vs the filament and spool is not much of a savings for the typical user. I'll give it 4 stars but feel I'm being generous.
