I paid too much for this one... I found similar ones for $199. But I have to say that the quality is very good. Be sure to read the instructions first! You're going to want to build all four sides before you throw it on the base, trust me. All I really needed was a Phillips screwdriver. The box weighs 78 pounds when it arrives. So keep that in mind if you need to take it to the top. I built everything myself. It took about an hour. My dog loves it, it's great, it adds a beautiful, functional piece of furniture to the kitchen. And I'm glad to be rid of that ugly big plastic box. And it gives me space for cat food and water so my dog can't get in there. As for the quality of the paint, I'm not sure... It's too early to tell. I have a feeling that I will touch it again and again.
