Good set for beginners. The tools aren't very sharp when they arrive, but whetstones are included so this is an easy fix. My kids have wanted to learn how to carve wood for a long time (they've been experimenting with planing for a year). This is a good phrase for her and for me to study. I'm not an expert at all. I rely heavily on YouTube. We can also use many of the tools it contains to stamp rubber blocks. So I really like that it has more than one use. There are enough tools here for kids to share while waiting for the part they need. The handles are comfortable to hold, the case is excellent. In general, we are very satisfied and look forward to the continuation! So far we're sticking with soap, gum blocks, and linden.
