I am amazed by the quality and detail of the screen! The extra screen real estate is amazing and makes Photoshop much easier to use, and I can open windows side-by-side for a handy connection between apps, or I can leave my playlist open and it'll still work in my main app. Using video editing software and being able to drag and drop my media directly from a folder into a project has simplified my workspace. The movie experience isn't as helpful as the software improvements as it doesn't fill the entire screen but doesn't distract me and the picture quality is clear and accurate and the colors are clean and accurate with no streaks. Questions. If you are a gamer, this thing will knock your socks off. The extra screen really gives the game a cinematic feel that needs to be experienced to be truly understood. After playing around with this monitor and going back to a 16:9 monitor, it almost feels claustrophobic, like I'm missing something. Again, colors and detail were sharp and accurate. You may need to upgrade your graphics card to support full-resolution games with good frame rates and high details, but you don't want to sell yourself cheaply by reducing the settings so you can see the true benefits of the display. Did I mention this thing is huge? The box was so big that even though my daughter bought a TV, she dominated my desk and eclipsed everything else in the area. I ran a diagnostic software called Monitortest to get rid of this beast. It passed the light transmission test with no problems. On such a large display, there wasn't any noticeable glare that I was concerned about, but the lighting was consistent across the display. Solid colors looked consistent and balanced, but had some banding during the gradation test, but that's a lot better than other monitors I've tested. The moiré test was accurate even at the highest settings. All patterns were clear, not blurring or merging with each other. There was no color distortion or ghosting during the convergence test, and there was a sharp contrast between light and dark. The text, even at 6 point Arial, was very clear and crisp and easy to read. Overall I am very happy with this monitor. I've been looking for a monitor of this caliber at a reasonable price for a long time. I would recommend this especially for art and video creators.
