OK, but the Oxo version is better

The obvious and secure fit of the lid on the brewer matches the Oxo's obvious and stable way the lid then becomes a functional tray. Yoassi's design is a little off. But it's lighter, slightly cheaper, and worth considering if you're not worried about the workaround. The lid is my main issue - both infusions work well, the oxo is stronger. The short version: After you're done brewing on Yoassi, the lid is meant to act as a drip tray, but it's not deep enough to hold the amount needed. Fluid that will flow from the infuser. There is a workaround to prevent this, but the overall design of the Oxo version is sturdier and more thoughtful. In my picture of both brewers next to their lid/drip tray you can see the difference in throughput. Long version: When brewing, you place the lid on the brewer in the way that suits you intuitively – with the lid sunken. a little in the infuser. This way you can move the mug and be sure the lid won't slip off. Of course, once you're done steeping, you remove the lid and place it upside down on a table, with the wet steam side facing up. Then place the tea strainer on it to cool down. But unless you first use a small spoon to squeeze the excess liquid from the leaves back into the cup, the lid is too flat in this position for the liquid to pool under the brewer. . Aside from squeezing the leaves, there is a workaround: cover the strainer with the lid upside down when brewing - it won't be as sturdy, but it will still retain heat. Of course, after soaking, put the lid on the table in such a way that you get a deeper drip tray. I drink tea several times a day and if that is you I would highly recommend Oxo over Yoassi. I use Oxo every day but I kept the two Yoassi I bought; They're great for casual use when I have company.
