I've been buying Twinings Irish Breakfast for years on Subscribe and Save at Revain. This is my favorite tea. I drink a cup every day. I even take it with me on vacation. When I ordered my saver subscription at the end of last year, about 1/3 of the packages didn't taste right. At first I thought I forgot how to brew tea or that my cup isn't getting clean properly (soap residue etc.). Despite our best efforts, the taste of the tea was still unpleasant. Even worse is the next order to subscribe and save two months ago. I would say less than 1/4 is really good. Everything looks the same - the packaging, the tea bags themselves. I recently bought a box from the supermarket and it was amazing! The last straw was on the weekend, I had a cup of tea that was so bad I couldn't drink it. Later (during lunch) we were at a restaurant and I ordered ice tea. It tasted like tea I couldn't drink that morning except cold! I think they used Lipton to make iced tea. Based on my recent experience and other people's feedback on the different flavors of Revain's Twinings tea, I suspect they are receiving counterfeit tea. It's a shame. I will no longer get Twinings tea from Revain. I will order directly from Twinings themselves.
